It's because Saitama isn't suppose to sound like a serious character. We'll see when the first episode drops, that's when you can judge.
When I first heard Saitama in a Dubbed trailer on Toonami I felt mad because it did not sound close to the original voice actor. Does this happen to every Anima show? One punch man is the first Anime that I have really gotten in to!

I understand he is not supposed to be very serious, he just sounds a little too relaxed to me. I am quite excited to watch the dubbed episodes, though.
hmm it does sound a bit weird but its really fun to watch lol. Not going to lie but sometimes japanese voice actors does a really good job on english vocal casting
Hmm so someone speaking Japanese should sound the same as someone speaking English. Sense found = Zero.
Just watch the sub and no this isn't uncommon Japanese people sound different from us due to tone , accent , and language. Nothing you can really do about that , plus Saitama is a fictional character there is no "right" way for him to sound other than matching his character personality.

lmao almost all english dubbed anime sounds wrong
I think the voice actors fit pretty well actually especially the villains, right now the VA for Saitama sounds dull as fuck so it fits the character.

Not at all. There are some great shows with amazing dubbing.
Samurai Champloo is a great example.

OT: I thought the dub was alright. I'm so used to the original it just sounds off but for someone who hasn't seen the original version then its not bad at all
I'm pretty skeptical. I never watch dubs unless they're as good as DBZ's dub, which is hard to come across. I'll give ep 1 a try to see how the voice actors do and whether they will actually show any emotion
just a friendly shitpost so I dont get banned with 1336

Most American voice actors don't have the same emotion in their voice as Japanese voice actors. Very few dubs sound decent, and even then they're not good compared to the original.
