Since you know the basics of C#, I would recommend unity3D, its pretty much the best game engine.
After that comes Gamemaker Studio, which is much less powerful.

I'm not a pro coder, i know the basics of C# and C.
I tough about Unity 3D, but i'm not so sure..

Ye you can try unreal engine as well if unity doesnt suit you.

I've used unity for a long time and there is always lots of updates so the engine as alway new stuff added. They have now in beta unity hub so you can have all the old unity version installed from I think v5 but dont quote me on that. Yes go for unity you will never stop learning lots of examples more thank unreal..
It depends what programming language you know, if you know c# go for unity if you know c++ then unreal engine or cry engine
Unity is most friendly, i recommend you
Unity is clearly the better choice. There is C# scripting for UDK, but ultimately it's always a few versions behind. I rather not depend on someone else personally.
