i tried it and it takes like 2 minutes to sequentially tell me the ping to each server

then it loops awkwardly asking me which one was best

also im pretty sure it got me a 10min timeout lol

why isnt the ping check done in parallel

Probably because it was made a long time ago and it wasn't much of a concern to anyone. It's not like you're expect to run this every 5 minutes. Most people just use it to determine what's the best server for them to play on if the game's default server doesn't suit them. Outside of events you don't usually experience much variation in a server's performance.

C:dows/system32 ping <server ip>
Mac and windows share the same command. Fire up a thread for every IP and return the results. Would make this much more useable.

Consider taking a sample of multiple requests and averaging response time
