Hello, I apologize for the inconvenience. I stopped using MPGH for awhile after Fremminik Realms(showthread.php?t=1122844), a private server for Realm of the Mad God, was closed.
I haven't logged on in a long time, but I was planning on coming back and helping out again. However I was introduced with a ban for scamming.

It looks like someone got into my account and used my reputation to scam someone. I didn't respond to the thread because I wasn't active on MPGH, as I said.
The skype the scammer used isn't mine. My skype is dylan.belville, and I've never hidden that fact.
The thread used to scam was showthread.php?t=1138147
The contact listed is: dylanchrysler
Which isn't mine.
I hope the damage done hasn't been a lot, and I will help out anyway I can to get this solved.
Please look into this for me. ;(

Edit: If possible, I would check any activity done around the time the scam happened. Just in case nothing else has been done. Maybe check IP too?
Edit: I had to recover my password when logging in today. None of my previously used ones worked.

Moved to staff disputes since it's a ban dispute. Originally banned by @Hunter perhaps he can shed some light on what your case is exactly.

The email on the account was not changed. OP is the account owner, and has verified registration location.

I went and checked my latest posts since you still haven't replied. The last post I did was replying to a thread that I got Vac banned using the hack for CSGO.

Leaving these below, not mine. I would like to encourage anyone that did these trades to try and recover the item back, even if the person that had my account payed for it. I see he got a ROTMG account that should of been a decent amount. Recover the account password so he can't login anymore.

As far as I'm concerned, I just banned the OP upon @Hova's request, reason being: scamming.

Although I must say, it's kind of odd that the OP's account email wasn't changed.

@ @DylanGMAlt If your account was indeed hacked, and the hacker used your account to scam other people, should you not be held responsible? Your MPGH account is your responsibility, and if a user is scammed, partial blame falls on you for not properly securing your account.
@Hero @Flengo @Mayion What actions should OP take to restore his account? A user was scammed because someone "hacked" into OP's account.

Since the past post IPs and the recent ones are so far apart, I don't really buy into the whole "hacking" idea. Your account, your responsibility. Refunds need to be done.

Figured this would happen.... *sigh* I'll reply in order.

Firstly, why would my email even need to be changed if he intended to have my account banned? My account was inactive, so he didn't have to worry about me coming back and changing my password. I would of preferred he change my email so I could have proof I was hacked. Now i'm here with you thinking I did the scamming. I'm not sure how changing emails works, but if I was the one that did the scamming, wouldn't it of been best for me to change it to make it look like I was hacked? But if I did the scamming, why would I even want my account back? I'm sure I'll never be able to trade on MPGH after this, at least not using this account. Not that I ever even wanted to trade. Look back before my account was compromised, and you'll see I've NEVER participated in trading/selling/buying.

Hova, that is a very weird way of thinking. If you steal someone's credit card and buy a bunch of stuff with it, it was partially the owners fault for having it stolen? My house gets broken into, but it's my fault that I didn't hire a security guard 24/7? etc. I could say that it was partially your fault for not stopping/warning me that my account was being logged in from a VPN, if that's how it is.

My account was secure. But you can't blame me for having someone else break into my account. I believe I either had/have a virus, or I had my account details guessed via registration on a RoTMG Private server. This was actually a big problem with the private servers. If you don't believe me, the official post is
showthread.php?t=715408 (Yes, I registered to many servers before ever seeing this, or before witnessing it being done myself.)
Who knows how many people could of tried my pserver username "DylanGM" and any of the passwords I used. Hell, the Fremminik data for everyone's account could of been released. I'm sure someone still has it, with thousands of account details, all of which the users originated from MPGH. Fremminik had 50+ users daily from a hacking forum, and I was the lead on fighting against the hacking on the server, and made it well known. I definitely had people that didn't like me.

Finally, Hero come on.... You don't buy my account being hacked? Really??? My account has what? 300 posts? No ties, and I hadn't donated yet. With this being said, I could of just made a new account, and got back to how I was in a few weeks. If I scammed, I'd be stupid to come back and give away my location, IP, and most of my previously lived locations.

However, I care about my name being accused of something I didn't do. Yes, I could make a new account and act like nothing happened, but it would bother me that I got framed for something I didn't do. I apologize that I can't refund something I don't have. I honestly do, but I couldn't refund it even if I wanted to. Nor am I entirely sure what all was scammed. I'll talk to whoever got scammed and a staff member over Skype if that will help, but if you're going to continue and bullshit me, whatever, at least I tried. Not going to keep trying to get back into a community that isn't going to believe me, let alone try, so if that's how it is, I'll stop trying.
