Don't get either unless you actually need a car (Can't use public transportation). Insurance for your age is way too high. Unless there are no bus routes or you frequently use transportation then don't get a car.

Insurance would probably be about $900ish for either car, and I'd go for the Honda coupe over the acura, gonna be way cheaper to maintenance.

Here's a secret... you know all those ads that say shop around? Do it. I was paying $150 a month, for full coverage on a 2008 Honda CRV with Allstate ($500 deductible). Switched to Progressive - got more insurance and was paying $90 a month (same deductibles).

Turns out, when you go with Allstate, Farmers, State Farm, etc you pay more when a natural disaster hits in another part of the country. My rates kept getting more expensive with Allstate, even though I had them for 4 years.

If you are new to driving - or are getting a faster car - do NOT do their snapshot discount program. Your rates will go up.

Another tip, is to use a friends' address instead of your own, if he/she lives in a cheaper part of the country (ie not in a city).
