That's because Liberals only care about face value, not substance.
They see rising equity prices, which are symptoms of 0% interest rate and massive QE, but none of that translates to the well-being of the middle class. In fact, the housing bubble part 2 that Obama and the Fed engineered led to rising rents and unaffordable housing prices, but because higher home prices "look good" on paper, Obama can brag about it.

It's the same shit how they talk about being compassionate about the poor, yet donate significantly less than conservatives. It's all about presentation to the Liberals.

Banks aren't run by morons. You think any bank would agree to sub-prime mortgage arrangements without a collateral from someone? The government promised to write-off any toxic assets on a bank's balance sheets using taxpayer dollars as a collateral.

What caused the crash in 08 was the Liberal philosophy that everyone had a 'right' to a home, and created 'affirmative action loans', where minorities on minimum wage were able to take out million dollar loans to buy homes. Any bank that refused to loan would be sued for racism.
The idea was that these subprime borrowers refinance their homes after a couple years. Works well when the prices are rising, but not when they fall.

Government interference, not lack of government oversight, caused the subprime mortgage meltdown.

Pushing the interest rate down to 0% is what got us out of this mess. Obviously there are going to be symptoms, everything has a cause and effect. People benefit and others get hurt.

If you think any president will help the people of the middle class, you are mistaken. It is your job to get out of the middle class and help yourself.
