How to get GTA-style image of yourself?

I keep seeing users on this forum who turn their own pictures of themselves into GTA-style artwork as their avatars. How can I do this myself?

If there's a tutorial on how to do this, I have average skill in Photoshop so I may be able to do this. Unless there are sites that can do this for you but I don't know.

I'll give a quick rundown since I'm getting a little sick of constantly seeing these questions this past week. There are three usual methods of how people are doing it:

1. Messaging GTA-related artists on DeviantArt to see if they'd possibly do it for you from anywhere around 5 to 20 dollars. Not really sure about this since I've never done it

2. Some use a site called SelfieSketch (add a dot com to the end of that) where you can just pay someone to do it. Costs something like 7 or 8 bucks, not sure though.

3. Others Google search tutorials for how to do the art style themselves on Photoshop. Pretty difficult, I've tried this myself and it's tough to nail the exact feel of the original artwork.

i somewhat agree with this but idk

your last method is very hard to do by yourself and i know photoshop pretty well, but who knows.

i personaly did the first one and found someone thru deviantart. it took like 2 weeks to actually find 1 tho lmao

Okay, thanks Bop. I'll check out that site first and then I'll try to see if I'm capable of doing any of those tutorials.

I'm also just curious why everyone has them all of a sudden too. Is there a new GTA game coming out or something? Just wondering since there's I haven't heard of anything lately.

Pretty sure they are drawings. Like full on drawings. I don't think you could learn it over night
