RESTART YOUR PC!
Installing a font effects a lot of essential components of windows (registry etc.) so only the current session is notified of the change if Windows doesn't call for rescan (usually does, depends on a how lot of s hit) or reregister like it does during start.
Believe me I could talk about this all day...
