2. Download the source from ****** and get it running
You can use any Client source you want, but I recommend you use mine. ******, iobsidian, realmclient. Download ZIP. Put on to desktop.
Make sure you have the Flex SDK installed on your machine. Put it in C:\Flex.
Open the project in Intellij IDEA Ultimate.
Sometimes, IDEA can be a real pain. If you see errors, go in
File > Project Structure > Module > Depencies > Select Flex
and set Flex everywhere you can. Keep IDEA openned.

You use IDEA because it is the bee's knees. It has all sorts of tools to help you edit and build. It has a find feature that can search and replace within the whole project in seconds, shows you warnings and errors, helps you with code style, and can even clean and organize code automatically. Also, the version control system is great if you mess anything up and don't know how to go back. There is also a free license for students or a 30 day free trial otherwise.

If you have anything you can't figure out from this tutorial, I would check out Gravitir's. It covers everything from square one in a ton of detail with pictures all the way through. If you are still having trouble after READING THE ENTIRE TUTORIAL AND FOLLOWING ALL THE STEPS WORD FOR WORD, message me here and I might be able to help you out.

For someone who doesn't have experience in these things, this tutorial is very hard to understand. Like things such as "Copy the file name" in step 3, what purpose does that have? And updating the source, there are things in there that seem to pertain to very useful features such as instaswapping, do we just copy over that and get rid of that code?
