collision checks, unless done really good, are actually horrible.
that's because projectiles server-side are in a different place compared to client, so player is basically getting hit by invis-bullets.

that applies to everything that isn't simple, yet still sometimes you can't just go the simple way. it's way less of a band-aid fix like the other 'fixes' out there, and it's only really 'hard' if you want to have the best performance while still functioning 100%
