I don't see a reason why you would need to start the game first to be able to use the Ping-Checker since the reason why we would use it to check before how our ping is so we don't need to start a game.

Youre right. For now you can rename any .exe file to "League of Legends.exe" in order to check your ping. I'll change that when this gets outdated. Thanks for your post
