Why is it being so slow

OK, so its on the lowest graphics because that normally makes it faster, I just downloaded it, went on to a game and its really really slow, any help here please?

How Do I not do that? + I live In UK.. + I was download the 1.6 into 1.7 patch and it says you need the 1.6 patch so I do that, you need 1.5.. how do I know what patch my CoD 5 is at? because I don't want to spend all day downloading patched..

just leave the server if there is lag.

about the patches: hmm... when i install cod waw its at 1.6, or is that because i installed it earlier and reinstalled it?
but nvm that,

launch cod waw and look at the down right corner to see what version you have.
if you have 1.0; download 1.1 and then 1.2 etc. till 1.7

I just finished download all the patches, wow so many more servers + Maps, so If I hacked on 1 server and got banned could I still go on the others?

but watch out for something called ppbans. admins can decide if they want that on their servers and if you get banned by it;you will be banned from all servers which use it.
