Terminally ill football fan Bradley dies aged 6.

Six-year old Bradley Lowery, has died after a long battle for cancer.
He was such a cheerful, young lad who always had a smile on his face.

The Sunderland fan was diagnosed with neuroblastoma - a rare type of cancer - when he was 18 months old.

Bradley went on to be the club's mascot and became "best mates" with his hero, striker Jermain Defoe.
He underwent "tumor-shrinking treatment" at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary but the cancer continued to spread.

His death was confirmed on social media by his parents.
The post read: "My brave boy has went with the angels today. He was our little superhero and put the biggest fight up but he was needed else where. There are no words to describe how heart broken we are."



This is a touching story especially since a close friend of mine died last week.
I've decided for the time being I'll be taking a short break so I am in the right mindset to return.

My granpa passed away in april and it was a horrible feeling, i feel sorry for his parents, but at least hes in a better place now. He wont have to suffer anymore. Take as much time as you need man, come back when you feel better.

But what sucks about Bradley is that basically every news source has him on their page not as a farewell message but just to mil* the money out of that juicy content. I've seen him for a long time and only few news sources have some content about him once in a while rather than only his death.

the reason why people gave him more attention then some other people is because they KNOW his story not because of the picture. thats all you really leave behind when you go, your story.

if youve ever lost someone you've probably experienced this. people you don't know well showing support because they knew your beloveds story.
