Why wont the game detect my controller?

So I just bought a XBOX 360 controller and it works with ALL of my steam games accept Black Ops III, it says "Add Controlelr for Splitscreen" and I do, but it doesn't detect it! A few buttons work on the menu such as, start, and down. Pressing down brings up the social menu and left/right change the daily thing at the top and start acts as a back button. When I go in-game I can do everything accept look around/shank. Has anyone else had this problem and has anyone else solved this problem? (If you post here please quote me so I get a notification.)
