Banned for using SAM but... how did they find out?

Hey guys, I got banned 5 days ago on dead by daylight.

I messaged them and 2 days later they replied me saying I used a third party program for unlocking achievements which is true so I didn't really deny it or anything.

I am just curious on how they found out? I will explain what I did and how I processed the achievement hacking.

I had 69 achievements and there were 3 really annoying ones which I didn't want to get so I unlocked them, I unlocked them at these times: July 16th 17.45 - July 25th 8.49 AM and August 1st 18:27.
I didn't change or touch anything else, my achievements looked 100% legit (mainly because I only cheated those 3 annoying ones) but I unlocked them within 2 weeks. My profile was private until august 5th, 2 days later I got banned.
I didn't unlock any "impossible to get" achievements, and I didn't make any mistakes. Everything was unlocked when DBD was not running, my steam cloud is always deactivated.

I can guarantee I didn't change anything else and that these are the dates of my unlocked achievements. I do not want to put fear in you guys I just wanna legit know how the hell did they find out? I don't wanna make the same mistake again when I buy the game again.

MY question is, is there a way for them to find out you hacked your achievements even when they look 100% legit?

Which achievements specifically?

Kill 1000 survivors (I had the kill 100 achievement unlocked 2 months ago, I had a total of 480 survivors killed)
Cleanse 100 hex totems
And I modified my rank as killer, I basically gave myself more pips to get to rank 1 (on statistics there is a tool to give yourself more pips), I hit rank 1 that way but I had rank 5 achievement from 1 month earlier.

Hmmm. Wonder if they're able to see achievement progression on Steam's end. Like if you had 480 kills and then instantly got 1000, maybe Steam can show that you suddenly got 520 kills in a single update to the achievement's progress. Although the hex one is quite suspect as even streamers who play 2k+ hours of survivor don't have it.

It's clear they don't have an automated achievement checking mechanism to ban people (or most of us would probably get banned by now), so achievement bans all seem to be manual by the community mods or BHVR after someone reports you.

You don't will be unban. Cheating is cheating. You only can buy this game, push up your hours with a hour booster & make your achievments again. Maybe you can buy an DbD Account (only for 10€), or DbD Key for ~12-15€.

Whenever you use any achievment Unlocking with SAM, keep your profile private even if you think, you Unlocked it kinda legit with the times. Your fault.

Why ? what does SAM Does to your profile ? because i used it to lock some achievement that i didn't wanted to unlock at a certain time , they look ultra legit but now you scare me

can we "undo" what sam did ?

Noone would ever go to my achievements and say they were hacked or looked hacked, that's why I'm curious on if they can check on a server if they were hacked or not.

Yeah , that's what i want to know too ! do they have a tool to check a server for achievements or something like that

Like Hure said you will never have legit looking achievments if they investigate your profil.

They don't have any Tools. They are way to lazy for that. I dont even know it there is such a Tool. Sounds stupid to me.

Like i said before you didnt Unlocked it legit enought that's most likely why you are banned now. On your next Profile keep it Private and you will never get banned using SAM.
