Just checked my local google page and the US page and you have way more to choose from in the US /fmz also way cheaper (starting at 149$). The one I posted above is in my country 211USD.

Check out some chromebook. I think you get unlimited space on google drive so you can save all your stuff when the hard-drive gets full.

I have a Macbook and it’s the best for heavy stuff, but I suggest Surface Pro

Mac has a nice interface for things like essays and what not. Personally I think OS x has the best UI out of any operating system. I may be biased though.
