[Help] How to setup Antminer?

I own a "Asicminer Block Erupter Usb Asic Bitcoin Miner" and "ASIC AntMiner U2 USB"

 

Haven't used them in years but im getting into Electroneum, does ANYONE know how to get these to start mining Electroneum? I've tried using BFGminer and CGMiner but im not having any luck, if anyone has working scripts please teach me...

To clarify, my Antminer and Asicminer are detected on windows and i've tested them on bitcoin pools and they work, just wondering on how to get it to work for Electroneum

Have you gone into device manager to make sure? Make sure the drivers are updated...?

Yeah, the ANTMiner shows up in my Device Manager, and it's updated to its latest

Hmm yeah I don't think it would work for electroneum; considering it is very new and probably doesn't have support for ASICs.

Yeah, I switched it to a SHA256 address and they worked perfectly. just wanted to see if there was any way to change the algorithm's they work on, turns out its not possible for the ones that I own.

Oh alright, hopefully they will allow ASIC technology eventually.

This is dependent on the individual. Depends what coin they mine, their electricity prices, their equipment electricity consumption and their has rate.

No, its not worth it where I live. Our electricity prices are extremely high (even though its still profitable if I were to mine). Equipment used to mine a coin become obsolete quickly. If I take that into account, I don't think its worth me mining.

I make the same amount as that one guy who invested $200 to only make $3/day lol off cloud mining. and i haven't put any money into mining, i just use my default pc (GTX1070)

I think mining is BARELY profitable, because you make $2.5 dollars a day maybe, and there are withdraw/payout fees. so depending where you live like @Allura said, costs might be more than profit

The end goal of mining is not making $2.5. Mining's end goal is to hold the coin and only sell the coins to cover your overhead/initial costs. Then to hold the coin long term and wait for the value of the coin to increase
