i remember awhile ago getting a file that changed the client to allow me to change my name or make a new account with whatever name i wanted no matter the words used. is that still a thing or did they patch that up?

If you google "Summoner name filter bypass" there will be your answers.

It appears as if it has been patched. Plus players can just report you and you'll get banned lol.
