    Perm patched cheats for CA

    I'm not too keen on all of this stuff, but I want to know why you can't use cheats that are suppose to be permanently patched? Hacks like godmode and etc. How come they are permanently patched, but you can still use hacks such as no spread and boxes? If they can stop those kinds of hacks then what stopping them from fixing all hacks?

    This thread is mainly for those that have knowledge about how the game runs and programming. Thanks for your time and information (even though it might be a flame).

    Anything that happens when you are DCed can be hacked

    Packets can also be edited/hacked

    OK, let me see if I can get this straight.

    Anything that D/C you from the game, such as no recoil, would indicate that it's patched, right? So, I know that.

    I know about packet editing/manipulation which allows you to do certain things that you aren't allowed to do normally.

    Now, when I think of something being "patched", I think it's temporary. So how come you can't use cheats like anti-kick and godmod any longer? Some people told me they fixed the issue by changing it to server. I'm kinda confused because they aren't making much sense.

    OK, so what's stopping Nexon from making the other hacks severed?

    The hack doesn't DC you, the .dll does. Chams aren't patched, the .dll they are compiled into is.

    Hp loss, ammo amount, etc changes as packets are sent from you to the server and then to other players. The server decides if these should increase, decrease, or stay the same. In order to get godmode, you would have to hack the server. Hacking the server is illegal and is not gonna be done unless you want to go to jail.

    Certain hacks can't be server sided because that would cause too much delay in the game. Imagine turning CA into an MMO like runescape. Would that be any fun? Also, to transfer the amount of packets needed if everything were server sided, nexon would need to double or triple the amount of servers they have along with getting much faster internet to handle the extra load.

    Awesome... Ive learned more within the first 2 minutes of reading this than I did my 18 years of life in school.

    So does that mean No-Spread, Super Jumping, Chams, and Speed - Hacks are all client sided?

    no spread can be made server sided
    chams is client sided cause it just changes what layer players are in
    speed can be made server sided
    no recoil is client sided cause it moves ur mouse down
    aimbot is client sided cause its your mouse that controls the aim
    godmode is mostly server sided but a couple of ppl have it client sided and if u want their names pm me
    unlimited ammo is server sided but has been coded in a client sided way and released on a vip site
    opk i have no idea
    telekill can be made server sided
    flying is client sided cause it moves u
    invisibility is completely server sided with no exceptions
    name changing is server sided but temporarily changing ur name rapidly isnt server sided
    bullet changers can be made server sided (already are)
    antikick is still client sided but they made a 2nd kick so it doesnt work
    server crashing is always gonna be client sided cause it only does so many things to overload the game

    Yes, Crusty has made more sense than anyone else I have spoken to about the subject. Thank you Crusty.

    The people I talked to about the subject got me curious. They were talking about those cheats and saying they could "unpatch" them by hacking the sever. I thought and said that's illegal because you would be affecting the entire base of the game and how it is played. I also said that hacking the sever could get you into real trouble, but they insisted that they can do. Anything foreign that gains unauthorized access to a sever can be traced.
