Hi there, Just wondering if i was to obtain the source of an external cheat that may already be detected, will i be able to make it undetected as done previously with internal cheats by just adding junkcode to the source code or is it much more difficult and if so can anyone point me in the right direction?
Cheers!

Like the user said above you can move stuff around, however adding junk code should be enough. I also recommend running the program through VMProtect, Enigma, Themidia Etc. These programs have been proven to change program signatures.
You should really read through this post, it does a great job going over how VAC signature detection works and how to prevent it. It also goes over the difference between external and internal.
