SUGGESTION:

Choose to receive e-mail notifications and being able to read them in your mail. This would counter the late checking of messages.

As per your request. Staff should be able to contact users via IM without having to request permission to do so.

It would be useful to add sound notifications about a new request in contacts and also when you receive a message from a user with whom the dialogue window was not opened.

When typing some text in chat then pressing ctrl+a all text is highlighted.Now normally upon hitting delete or backspace everything should be deleted but this happens only like 30% of the time.Try it out/Has been confirmed by a handful of members and Dave himself.

It's cool I'll have all the nessecary things that should be implemented(in my opinion) documented here just so the coders can have a list or something.

mass delete meaning clear the whole list afaik? don't think that is what he wants due to wanting to keep some chats

Sounds good..you should regularly delete contacts on your IM till the mass deletion get implemented.

Suggestion: Keep the chat tabs open as you move from page to page on MPGH, leaving the tabs open. Soundcloud is a good example of this, the bottom bar's state persists when you move from page to page.

Better yet, have it as an option so that people can choose what they like.

Another suggestion, have the usernames clickable and lead to the appropriate user's profile.

Edit: I just saw the "Auto reconnect to the chat when changing pages." I still think my suggestion is something that is more smooth, but the code needed for that might be complicated.

also sometimes it only shows the user you are talking to in your contacts even if you scroll down
