I don't believe it's a scam.
That's an error on the website which can't allow your process at that time.
The account works just fine, just try log-in later.
Also, the reason that guy said you could end up in prison is because hotels can cost triple digits.
Since you purchased a cracked account, technically the owner can call the police or something since you will be in the hotel at the time with full name, email etc.
Although its rare there has been a few cases, but its quite scary.
