The ID of a motherboard or a hard disk can not be changed. That is impossible, theoretically. It's a serial number that would have to be removed from changing a chip inside it and the firmware.

What you do is emulate or change the registers in Windows so that it sends false numbers or IDs.

In this case they are:

GUID (Globally Unique IDs)
VOLUME ID (Hard Disk VOLUME Reference ID)
SID (Security ID)

I think the first two, the change, really does not solve anything. The third one that is the SID does solve part, but I repeat, it's just an emulation. Physically you can not change ID, only virtually.

If you want you can change the MotherBoard or the CPU. There is the Hardware Ban. (The HDD has nothing to do anymore)

Yes, but try it in a Virtual machine. As I said, I do not want to try it on my PC banned, because I have spent a lot buying the game over and over again, so I can post the steps if someone is encouraged to physically try it on their PC Banned. But at the risk that it does not work physically, only virtually (although Directx 11 in a virtual machine is crap and the game is not good), then you can also try it in a Virtual machine.

If it now works on a physical PC, I can say that the hardware BAN is in the SID. but I need volunteers.

For anyone looking to upgrade their PC, I got rid of my HWID ban by swapping my MOBO and CPU. I guess I'd only do that if you were gonna upgrade at some point soon though.

Just change your HDD for one New and fresh install of Windows/Steam/DbD thats all (you need one new account and buy the game again)

I heard they could be taking CPU ID but I'm not sure if they do this for all games or just a few

EDIT: also not sure if they take it if you got banned a couple of months ago

Change your main HDD where the windows is installed and reinstall windows + everything = you're unbanned.

Best to have only 1 HDD or SSD , not more.

yeah i did that banned after a week tried this on 2 computes.. same out come when u activate the 3rd account.. the ban seems to be after 2 times. doesnt work changing drive and new windows for me.
