Too much empty space dude. Your render is too far to the left..
Even if you moved it to the right a bit I still feel that you need something to take up the bare areas.
Work on creating some type of depth as well.
Tutorials,tutorials, tutorials. At least until you get the fundamentals down,
and feel you can create your own type of style after that.

it's usually a fundamental feel that allows you to work with a render.... if it feels natural it goes along smoothly... but you have to get into a groove... but then you have to get out of it again

i like the render, but you kinda cropped it. I don't know if it was originally like that or not, but i feel i'd like it more if it wasn't.

What you could do would be to have some sort of abyss on the right side. Text would also help if you did that. But thats just my suggestion.
