How to hide cheats from others in the player list menu.

So, you know if someone has pirate perfection installed, you can go to player list and click their name and it will show you all their mods right.

Well you can make it so they can't see it. all you have to do is go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PAYDAY 2\mods

Double click on the mod/cheat you would like to hide from others. for example if you have pirate perfection it would be a folder called pp. once in the mod folder, look for mod.txt, open it with notepad or your preferred file editor.

You will see:

"name" : "Pirate Perfection",
"description" : "",
"author" : "",
"contact" : "",
"hooks" : [

And a bunch of other stuff, you will only need to change the "name" part. For example, you could change "Pirate perfection" to "Better bots" or "Silent assassin" And when other people look at your mod, they will see what ever name you chose instead of pirate perfection...

Heres a few examples:

What ever name you put, other people will see, meaning even with cheats, it wont tell others in the player list, letting you cheat while other players have no proof if you hide it carefully

Tho some people run mods that check your stats. And usualy tag you as a cheater if you are a level you can't even reach with the XP from the heists you completed. But yeah this is a pretty easy and smart tactic to do
