Theoretically this is forbidden, but you won't get banned. Everyone does this. And if you get in trouble (which you won't but still), just throw something like :I was in that country to visit it when I bought the game or Something like that just saying xd.

wow.. I thought that cd keys were the cheapest method to get games, but apparently I was wrong.. so, for example: if I enable a russian vpn, then I buy a game from the steam store and later I disable my vpn, will I still be able to play it? No region-restrictions?

I know that if you activate a russian cd key, you must enable a vpn to play the game connected to the cd key. is it different with the steam store?

I'm from italy. If I buy a game from the steam store with russian rubles through russian vpn, when I disable my vpn and I change my currency from rubles to eur, will I still be able to play the game I bought without any region restrictions or stuff like that?

One last question: I've just read that you can do this trick to buy games/dlcs just 2-3 times, after that Steam will recognize that you're using a vpn. Do you know if this is true?

I dont think so, I made many transactions. Like buying dbd , one dlc and also wallet funds around 3 times.

Steam discourages exactly that, so I doubt they'll do anything if you tell them that
