Question 2 : Sometimes you see files that windows doesnt know what to open them with, yet the program somehow uses them. How the hell does it do that?

1: Yes it is a langueage that notepad does not understand.
2: Often it is not windows that uses the file but instead a program ON windows that uses the file.
Also not all files are opened with programs (such as .dll files) but instead give instructions for the computer to execute.

I AM the Influence.
u seem to have answered q1
Q2 then....
some files are written and formatted in a way so that it works with the program it was made for.
lets say there is a umm... a {.blh} file, and it's purpose is to store a high score.
then i can make it so that it stores the same and then the score like so:
{Bluspex 100}
or to make it so that some one cant change it easily i same make it save the chars in this format:
{^B*l9u9s0p3e#x>.1g0&0}
see how it was saved? and u if u open it with word..that's what u see..and on top of that i can ecnrypt and choose to have it stored in a font and lang that normal progs dont understand but my prog can.
