    Gaming laptop suggestions?

For college I'm looking for a laptop that is able to run casual games (Fortnite, Rocket League, CS:GO) meanwhile maintaining a longer battery life for long research and writing sessions. Nothing larger than 15.6 inches either. Any suggestions?

Unless you made out of money, don't even bother getting a gaming laptop overpriced and shit. More affordable and reasonable would be to get a $500 gaming desktop pc. I bought one for around $500 and all is going well. Came with a gtx 1060 ti 3gb too.

Most gaming laptops that can run games at a high standard are going to cost a premium and are typically not worth it

What about getting a decent mid level laptop now that has thunderbolt 3 that you could add a eGPU to in the furture.

Well, if you need laptop just for games, You need a middle-laptop. But if you will do something specific (Like 3D, for example), you should find more professional decision

Anything that has Nvidia 990+, 8gb ram, an ssd, and a i7 in it. Chose the one that costs less.

Notebook are good if you are not looking for extreme graphics experience. If you are, you better go for a desktop then.

I picked up the evoo 1650 as a refurb for just over $600. Except for a couple hiccups during startup, I am impressed so far. Just wish it had a bigger battery.
