VAC-Chaos

I'm using VAC-Chaos and only using the Dev Console on it. Nothing more. But after about 1 minute, i get a message saying Steam Connection Failed. I'm not banned, meaning it's not anything with me, is there a way to fix VAC-Chaos and make it work for me?

I'm pretty sure VAC Chaos doesn't have anything to do with your Steam connection, lol.

Wow, lol. Steam and VAC are different processes. VAC is ONLY active when your playing on a secure server or playing a VAC-secured game. Steam is just for talking to friends, for saving your stats, and to initialize VAC when you start the game. Way to fail at understanding the differences lol.

Steam authentication servers now communicate with the VAC Module. If none is found, cl_disconnect is called and the user is kicked. The only working solution is if you host a game, in which you will get the error 'cannot kick host player' in the killfeed.

Might I ask where you got this info from? If I say I fail at myself I want to be sure 100% that I was wrong. But as I was going off common knowledge I didn't know if I was 100% right lol. Also that sounds a little like what happens when you're VAC banned lol. Except it says "Cheat Detected".

He may be right, but if VAC Chao's job was to completely block out Steam just to be rid of VAC, what would be the point of that? I think if Steam was completely blocked out you would never be able to play a game when running VAC Chaos as you would be unable to ever connect to a Steam auth server or be able to talk to friends and all that stuff.

Anyway back on topic. I think it's a bug within VAC Chaos. Because it happens ANYWERE i join.
