Where can I start?

Hello MPGH members. I would like to learn C# so that i can build my own tools related to cracking and cheats. Where can i learn C# fast? Thank you.

If you’re proficient with another programming language, preferably C based (C++, JavaScript etc) then you should be able to pick up C# in a week or two.

Otherwise you’re going to have to have to put in the time and effort to learn how to program. There are no shortcuts and trying to speed through it is only going to harm you. There are various YouTube tutorials and websites like W3Schools (I think?) that can help you here. Of course there’s always msdn but I’ve found most of their examples hard to follow and overcomplicated.

And just some advice, I wouldn’t try to get into creating game hacking tools in C# (or any language for that matter) without a solid understanding of programming. Without this you are never going to be able to create your own solutions to problems and will just end up copy pasting other peoples code.

I would have gone with Lynda or Pluralsight, they both have "Path" courses where you can learn C# from scratch to Pro. good luck

Could you learn to code by creating easy games on unity? Or is that a waste of time?

First you need to be familar with the UI, i would recommend you start learning C# winform, here is steps:

Label, Button, Textbox, Checkbox, Messagebox, Panel, Flow layout panel, radio button, comx, picturebox, listview, treeview, menustrip, tooltip, statusbar, context menu, notify icon, Thread, timer, processbar, numeric updown, process, datetime picker, linQ, EntityFramework.

The most important part is "Thread".
