I've been using tinder for years, and it never led to any real life date.
I've always got something like, 1 match every 6 months. And sometimes, girls who had a match with me just miss clicked,
so they deleted their match almost instantly. lol.

I'm not ugly at all. I'm not poor either, and I think I'm pretty smart (but they won't see it on a picture).
They are just too demanding...

I stopped using it, as well as every dating app. It's too painful for the ego when you're not a top model.
And most girls do nothing interesting with their lives to have interesting conversations with and to find things in common.
They are on these apps, not even to find a serious relationship, but just for the pleasure of receiving hundreds/thousands of matches.
It makes them feel superior...

I think it's better to meet a girl in real life, even though it's difficult: you need to dare making the first step, she needs to be single, and you need to have a good reason to approach her (not just because she's pretty, but because you share a common hobby, and/or are part of a club for example).

I don't have the time to meet girls outside, and I don't want to make an activity I don't like, just so I can meet someone...
So I stay alone, and I try to compensate my lack of affection with self love, and to calm my pulsions with my hand. It sucks, but at least, I don't have to deal with a boring and/or stressful relationship.

Your story sounds familiar to me, I've been in a similar position for a while. Aslong as you believe in yourself it will be alright eventially. But if you don't believe in yourself, how is someone else going to? Sometimes a little alcohol can help.

Remember, life will never stop surprising. Even when you think it won't, it will someday. Just don't think life is something static, because it's not. Turn your weakness or blind spots into strengths.

Before i got married i was a bit of a sex hound .. strippers , hotel sex parties, clubs .. you name it.. and really i was there when tinder first started and it was just just for NSA sex.. meet some chill girls, but as far as dating one of them goes hell no.. and online dating i always felt was kind of whack.

Hit or miss. Tinder really depends on personal preferences and where you live or what you want out of a relationship. If you don't want a one night stand you'd best clarify that with any matches almost immediately since that's what it's moreso known for.
