I really don't know what to say. I enjoyed his content, but this was kind of an asshole move.

Was this a dick move? Yes.

Will he be able to redeem himself 100%? No.

Do I forgive him? Yes.

At least he didn't say "I recovered from my chronical illness", he told the truth. He couldn't just say, "I need a break from tf2" because then (toxic) ppl from the tf2 community would call him things like "Traitor" and "Quit being dead" rather than respecting him from taking a break. He probably didn't want that negative feedback so he lied.

It's weird.
I don't think he was doing the fake death for attention or anything like that, but if he REALLY wanted a break, he would have just said it. Backlash or not, faking your death isn't something you easily come back from.
