    Help with Integrated GPU

so aparantly my Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family is an integrated graphics card.
well it sucks dick with combat arms.
ive tried everything to make it faster.
remove CA textures - all settings on low.

    tons of RAM cleaning programs
    overclocking -failed
    pc boosters programs .

none of it works. so im gonna buy a 6 series nvidia, BUT

since im using a cpu with integrated vid card, would i be able to install a NEW video card?

i dont want to take apart my comp , looking for an open PCI-E port.

so i wanna know if its possible, and if you could elaborate exactly HOW i could.

    , thank you

You have no choice but to open your case too see what slots you have open.

But yes, once you upgrade your video card, your mother board will automatically bypass the onboard video.

If it doesnt, you may have to go to bios, tell it to use externel video and then save, turn off comp and then install your new card.

All on-board video controllers are worthless and why would you buy a 6 series? they are 8 year old cards man, you can get a 9600 or 9800GT for cheap enough these days, as long as you have a PCI-E slot it should be fine man, if you have an AGP motherboard then throw it in the bin and start from scratch..

Here are some 9500GTs on Ebay, I understand the budget thing man but you will be highly disappointed if you go for a 6 or 8 series, believe me. Try to stick to good brands such as Asus or Gigabyte, I have an overclocked 9500GT 1gb on my spare system and it has been going hard now for 3 years

9500GT items - Get great deals on Computers Networking, Home Garden items on eBay.com!
    if only if only....=/

id overclock this integrated bullshit so quick.

    edit:

hmm.. i think most of the price is in the fan.

but its not TOO expensive. only pocket change more than the ones i was looking at.

if you could. since it was integrated, the company didnt set it at a standard, they set it at its full capacity, so overclocking is impossible .

with a purchased gfx card ,i could do it no problem.
only thing troubling me is my brother bought a $200 one and tried overclocking it.
    fucked it up big time.
    nuff said.

ill look at that one really quick
