How does Apex Legends ban work?

I've seen some people talking about changing their hardware ID's so I was wondering how the bans work. Do they ban your entire hardware ID from their servers (i.e. blocking all accounts you have)?

If yes, do this make it pointless to use a smurf account?

Yes they ban you HWID to prevent people from making new accounts and playing that way since it is after all a free game.

Hi, they let a registry file banning every account youll make, still need to point what file and delete it

i got banned 5 times, in the same PC, so i think he just ban account, not your HWID
but idk maybe some people got HWID banned

They ban hwid, i never use my main account and got ban, every account playing apex on my pc will got ban after 1 hours.
