Can your account get hacked from using a hacked client?

I was wondering if anyone coul hack the hacked clients and get account info easier than the normal client. I'm afraid to enter my credentials into a hacked client as I dont want someone to steal my account.

Could be a possibility, but staff members always checks everything that gets uploaded here for maximum security.

Obviously DECA's client will be safe unless somebody hacks into their servers which is highly unlikely. MPGH is pretty safe because of the mods' work to vet releases, but every year or so the mods miss something malicious and it gets approved for download. Sometimes, like with Riigged's recent mess-up, only a few people get exposed before somebody notices, but sometimes a large portion of the forum is exposed like with Perturb's client.
