    Fitbit se scam from uid=4540274

    Hey, I'm a frequent Fitbit buyer on mpgh and I have bought quite a few fitbits in my time.

    However, this member 4540274 sold me a cart link for a versa watch for $15.

    I then go on to claim my Fitbit through the link and 2 days later I get an email from them saying they denied my request because the name on the order did not match the one on the account.

    I have never experienced this before. Over dozens of fitbits in my time all have come under my name to my address (which requires the package to be in my name).

    I contacted the op and explained the mishap but he just ignored me for a whole week before answering and simply saying: go give me bad rep.

    All I asked was for another form or a refund.

    Anyways let me know if you need some screenshots and shit all the convos are on IM for mods to see.

    What did he give you alongside the form ? Did he give you the name ? Can you screenshot the email you got from fitbit saying they denied it because the name isn't the same ? How did you fill out the form ?

    The IM is all the stuff he gave me. I logged in to the email and saw the 1 email from Fitbit saying here's your replacement link.
    I then clicked on it and filled my address info and submitted it.

    No, he did not ever mention that I needed to have a specific name on the form. (and I have never had that before... like I can show you other fitbits ive received under my name...)
    So it was probably flagged beforehand and the name thing probably set it off for good.

    also to make things extra confusing the email and yahoo acc have different names than the person...

    ps.
    ive asked another guy who does fitbits and he said after that email they will ask for watch back and shit

    @TrioBird His excuse is that you do not know how to fill out the form correctly. Was there information that he was supposed to give you ? Having different names can trigger the email to be sent.

    Information that he was supposed to give beside the form is the name at least,because without the name user doesn't have any chance to fill it out correctly. @Lily

    as far as my knowledge for fitbit is concerned this will almost always mess up the order

    so a replacement or compensation would be required

    As I told the user before he sent the money, he would receive the email containing the form along with the access to the fitbit account. If I have not specified any name it is easily conceivable that the name to be used was the one contained in the fitbit account.

    In my T.O.S is stated that I'm not responsible if your order gets cancelled cause in any case it's your fault. I've done hundreds of fitbit forms with the same proceed and never one gave problems, for people who knew what they was doing.


    Furthermore, OP also states that he "received dozens of fitbits in my time all have come under my name to my address", and this is not possible cause after 3-4 fitbits received at home your address gonna be blacklisted (and this can be another another reason for the failed SE).

    It seems clear to me that OP does not know how to process a form correctly.

    Anyway, if admins believe it right that I have to pay for his incapacity and inconsciousness of what he is doing, I will issue him a refund (I absolutely do not want to offer a replacement because it seems clear to me it is useless, given its complete incapacity)

    There was no possible way for user to fill out the form correctly without the name which was on the account, your tos says that you are not responsible for whatever happens but with the way you sell them his order can't possibly work. Without the name it will always get cancelled. @Duzakh

    Will do, and yea he provided me with acc login but how are people supposed to know that they have to go find the name of the acc holder and use that...
    I mean it seems like thats a common concern with fitbits so it should be mentioned.

    Also, i hope you guys can tell he's fighting for nothing just delaying...

    and i can show proof of 10+ fitbits to my address ur dumb its not a regular home

    He just provide forms, you need to know the method for process it correctly. I'm sorry to write here and i know i shouldn't but that's a really useless report. Next time buy a complete SE from user services
