To what I heard, they are supporting in the production of "Hytale" which is pretty much Minecraft on 1000x Anadrol steroids. So yes, they not only ARE making one with their original game but will with the new release of Hytale.
Do you guys think that Minecraft is making a proper comeback, or has it always been like this?

I doubt it. I played Minecraft at its peak. The games been going downhill since 1.8
Ever since the pay to win ban > down hill
maybe the game is becoming too confusing and yes i agree with you, but i dont think its going downhill. its just taking a different direction from what older players want.

depends on what you played. some servers for took it too far. games like faction and prisonbreak were ruined because donators could fly, get free diamond items, etc. aBut donations like getting extra plots on creative servers were ruined and its kinda sad.

I dont think its dying just changing the direction which it wants to go to appease new consumers.
I think no. The game is too much slowly developing and developers ruined with the new EULA rules
Its just gonna stay floating until it slowly dies out, its past its prime and point of recovery
its hard to tell but i think its rather more possible that the game is slowly dying like each one
Maybe if they fixed the dumb see-player-names-through-walls bug, people like myself would start playing again. I once wanted to become my server's diamond tycoon. I had an elaborate secret underground diamond mine, ton of diamonds stored away, then some imbecile accidentally sees my name through the ground like 50 blocks down and takes me by surprise and steals all my stuff then floods it with lava.
I tried on another server, but someone started spawning infinite free diamonds so. What's the point of this game even with these bugs?
Ever since they ruined PvP with that time delay, most of the influential players left the community

I do see it increasing in popularity again recently, probably due to players playing again because of nostalgia
