If the transaction fees are low you can start with $20 if you want (so if your base currency is something like ethereum, you should be okay). You also need to find an exchange that charges a percentage fee for each trade rather than a fixed amount (but I think most exchanges are fine). Remember though, the less you invest, the lower the return. You can't really split $20 into multiple different trades either, since its so small.

However, in general, I'd say $1,000 is a nice value to start with.

yeah you wont make much profit on $20 unlesss you can have it sit for years on an altcoin and hope that coin goes up like crazy in a few years.

or you will need more money. on $20 a 100% return would only be $40 so that is not really much, now $1000 invested into 2k or more is a good investment,

tbh 3 years ago i "invested" 50$ into xlm and it became 2000$ lol , i left it there and its went to shit , but that was crazy
