As hilarious as it may sound, I feel as it's a requirement on this site to solely keep out (advertising/useless) bots and keep in actual human beings. The way I see it, reach your 15 and enjoy the rest of your time endlessly!

It doesn't work like that, all the 15 post limit does is disallows new users to recklessly spam someone through PM's with advertisements.

Well, he was mostly talking about the fact that it keeps spam bots out, um, no, if it worked like that then general wouldn't be filled with them, discounting PM-ing, sure, that's why the 15 post limit is there for, but in general it won't work.

Account verification, like email verification, two-factor

Seriously:
A bot can be programmed to post 15 random mesagges and then do whatever it was created for.
A spammer can post 15 filler messages and then do what ever were his intentions.

The 15 post rule is ancient and useless ... there are other types of verifications that can easily be implemented.

Using this type of rule, tells me that responsible people might still think flash website are cool, eh!


PS. I registered in 2014, came back last month and only got 13 posts so far... i remember i left just because of this rule... did not have time to waste and did not want to post stoopid mesages just to get my numbers up!

Yep, they need to verify your account in order to be sure that you are not spamming or... a bot.
