Something I learnt recently that may help you. Next time you have a feeling of “I can’t do _____”. Think about it like this. What’s the thought you had (eg. go up and talk to that girl). How do you feel (eg. nervous, probably going to get rejected. Better not do it). What behavioural outcome will come because of your feeling? (Eg. you won’t talk to the girl, so now you feel shit).
Your negative thought already is gonna make you feel shit. So just think about it like this when you think you can’t do something “cool”. If you don’t do something you will feel shitty anyway.

Sometimes I just think about what my life used to be let's say 3-4 years ago and I everytime ended up saying it's pretty sad. I was spending the whole time on my computer, sitting there playing videogames, getting fatter and going out of home just because of school. Didn't really have irl friends at the time, I was that type of guy that you wouldn't talk to if you ever met in a group of people, especially because of my being "shy". You couldn't even find some topics to talk about, and that's also why I got defined like the weird silent guy.
Then I realized I was basically wasting my life doing nothing everyday, and felt so bad that I tried so hard to change the situation. Wasn't easy, but the first thing I did was to stop using the computer, went to gym 3 times per week, and focused on school goals. Now I'm here, hanging out with friends almost everyday, getting fairly high grades at school and I'm proud. Even if sometimes I still pass the whole afternoon on my computer it's different, I feel really better.
Long story short: if you want to improve yourself, change some of your habits and get out of your comfort zone, don't think about what others say about you.
Hope this could help
