yeah so many people use facebook I can see that coin being worth something. as long as people actually care about it.
So if you haven't heard yet, facebook is creating a coin called Libra. Facebook account's for a huge chunk of all internet traffic. How popular do you think Crypto will become? What price do you think Bitcoin and Libra will reach?
I think Libra will reach top 10 coins (by market cap) within the first month. Then most likely top 5 (pushing out bitcoin cash or litecoin) within the second month.
Definitely gonna jump on this pump train

It's a stablecoin so not sure what you mean by jumping on it? AFAIK it's not a buy and HODL type thing? Being genuine here.. @Allura

With the current bull run now, it probably is likely to get more attention
Bitcoin may possibly hit the ATH or more this year, Libra will likely increase as many will FOMO in (both the new investors and the experienced ones)
This is unlikely to happen, even with the most hyped project it couldn't rise up that fast. Remember Tron? Remember how hyped the train was? Barely hitting top 10 now. Top 20 will be very plausible
I quite agree with you both the bullish run of the market and the hype facebook created, it is definitely a wise choice to jump on the Libra Train. Good luck to all of us!
it isn't FB making it important, it is the banking and investment industry. JP Morgan is doing way more for it than FB. At this stage, it is a bit like the marijuana stocks and investments. We care about if BTC is at 3k and then 10k a few months later. But these guys don't care at all. it is all about who can come in second or otherwise become as well known of a brand as Bitcoin.
Bitcoin has an outrageously large name recognition factor....but no one owns it or controls it. So, although it is a big shiny beacon, it leaves open a space for another currency that has some qualities that BTC doesnt and is attached to a major bank like JPMorgan Chase. For example, Dash (unlike BTC) is actually anonymous. Another uis backed by fiat currency.
The people planning in this arena and are calling the shots are rich, powerful and hiring others to do the heavy lifting...they will mess with Libra just because they can
And it is like the weed penny stock and cheap investments regarding the legalization issue...there is no clear brand yet because not all the states allow it to be legal. When that happens, it will be a big deal which brand is most successful in the first day as far as recognition. They will become the BTC of that market and make bank just on that.
FB libra a centralized coin will kill most of the altcoins as it has already a billionaire users on its platform. However it will not affect bitcoins growth as it is decentralized
Libra is centralized as stated before. I doubt it will get that much traction in the established crypto community. I think at best some noobs that dont otherwise know much about anything crypto will be the only ones to jump on it.
man this is so confusing im struggling to keep up theres just so many ifs and buts
Like @Evertonhero said, too much if's and but's.
If they star using Libra to call facebook services, maybe, and maybe they start value the market. Only worth if you can trade to $/€
when is it supposed to come out exactly? and will there be an IPO or how will it be distributed?
