    How to quit nicotine?

Got hooked on nicotine at one point when I was younger and ended up vaping for several years after the fact. Now I'm trying to quit but every time I've just tried to put it down I buy a new one.

Anyone have any insightful advice on how to quit? I haven't tried gum or patches because I didn't want to resort to that.

Funny you post this now, currently going through nicotine withdrawals atm. I was hooked onto 36 nic for a very long time, just a couple of days ago I went and tossed my vape. It's not hard to quit, just don't buy another vape. If you keep the vape on you instead of throwing it away, you'll indefinitely hit it.

What else were you expecting? A secret magic formula which'll stop you from being addicted to nicotine? If you can't quit, you don't have the discipline to do so. Nuff' said.

You should start e-cig, with like 6mg, then go down to 3.. etc.. then you will end up with 0mg nicotine

I will give a bit more general advice.
To quit something addictive you need huge change in your lifestyle and environment, something big. Kind of start fresh and program your mind again. Replacing your activity with something else. Discipline is definitely a huge thing.
But before all of this you need some serious motivation, to make the changes and then leave it to discipline to carry you from there onward. Don't expect that each and every day you will be motivated to quit, this is where discipline matters.

Once you are on a good plan, then don't even and ever come close to anything that will make you do it again, environment, friends...etc. Sometimes just an article trigger it again. Be a whole mile away from anything that even LEADS to it. Don't be alone again, loneliness is root of evil.

    Good Luck bro!

Since you're already vaping, just keep buying flavors with less nicotine content. Start with whatever you're on then gradually bring it down to 0 nic liquid. That's how they were meant to be used anyway. Also i know alot of people who swear by nicorette.

I've probably been addicted to nicotine for like 6 years or so now. The only way if you actually want to quit is to do just that; quit. If you think dropping off cold is too much then reduce intake week by week until you're able to just kick the habit.
