You won't get banned, maybe try to make the file read only, could fix the issue
i was tired of being capped out at 60fps per second so i watched a youtube video on how to fix it and edited the text file so i can get the 140 my computer is capable of. now every time i turn off my machine theres a warning message from EAC saying it like detected a change or something so i was wondering can i really get banned for something so small?

Have always had my fps capped at 50 and have never been banned for it, same with everyone else who has done it.

gaming
The message your getting is something like game violation detected #0000001, its just because windows is force closing the game when you shutdown and EAC doesn't like it for some reason. dead by daylight and fortnite both do the same thing
nope you won't, i capped my fps too. It's been 3 years...
okay awesome thanks everyone for the response ill try the read only thing. hopefully that fixes it but i just got freaked out considering how many hours i have and really didnt want to lose that over something as simple as a stupid frame rate cap.
Oh yes, that message is shown to me too, but it's not related to uncapping FPS, in fact I have them capped. You don't have to worry about it, it's just that EAC is closed before the game or something like that
