What I am most annoyed about it is the fact that they're brain dead enough to forget that there are sections where they can clearly communicate to increase post counts, but no that's too much to ask.

50 or 100 post's make newbies to spam threads to overcome it. Right now, 15 posts rule is excellent in my opinion they will browse around the threads which they feel interested in engaging, and they can quickly know more of mpgh offerings.
