Pretty sure the EAC launcher checks for a wifi-presence/steam-auth before the game is able to load in. Even if you get past this there are more checks before being able to load into the main screen like ban status etc.
Hello,I wanted to ask if there was a way for run COMPLETELY offline DbD 3.2.0. It is possible until DbD 1.9.3 because the save file is offline, but from DbD 2.0.0 the savefile is stored in DbD's servers and is impossible run the game because it says connection error. I thought that could be bossible find a way to create a program that would emulate DbD's servers during the loging phase. The problem shouldn't be playing the game since in this patch DbD is steel peer 2 peer.
WHY SHOULD SOMEONE DO THIS?
1- This would make the game immortal, and make you play when you want, offline (LAN) and you can still play the game even if DbD's servers will be closed
2- Having fun with modding or cheating for fun with friends since EAC doen't exist in offline mode
For me this is more like a challange than something that I need, but actually if someone will succeed in this, for sure there will be positive aspects

Get a good reverse engineer i guess
Starting DbD without EAC is pretty easy since is enough starting it from the exe"DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping.exe" (offline obviusly) . Steam interaction is possible using "smartSteamEmu" that emulates steam offline, so for the game is like if you are online. The problem is when the game needs to download the save file from DbD's server; so I thought could be possible "record" the server's answers and "play" them in a local machine. I don't know if it is possible or how to do that, Just wanted to know what people think about this
