Maybe I'm a cynic, but is there a reason we help Isreal so much? Like we help Saudi Arabia because they help the US in its proxy wars against Iran and they're a large oil producer. How about Isreal? Civilized is used very loosely, their general population may share similar westernized values but those in power in Israel are radical and contribute to the destabilization of the world. Israel's government is no better than an Iranian government imo.
