Engineering and IT positions tend to pay more. Also it can be a standard of living difference depending on where you live. At my workplace (R&D/Space & Defense contractor), undergraduate administrative interns like myself are paid anywhere from as low as $15 to as high as $20. Undergraduate engineering/IT interns earn about $22-$28ish? Ive seen some graduate engineering interns earn like $32-34/hr.

Are you getting your HR certificates? I get my SHRM-CP soon as I get done with senior year. After that is done I will prob get my aphr. Since the other certificates are for more experienced HR workers I will work a few years and go get my PHR and TRY to get my SHRM-SCP. I want to also get my Masters in Business Administration since it opens more doors then a masters in HR, but depends on what position it opens at the time for me. Lastly I want to get my SPHR. I haven't really picked a area in HR to specialize in but I don't even know which area I like yet.... HOPEFULLY I can bank on these to make more money for me. I want to get a masters regardless honestly.

Not 85k but I'm nearly. and I don't have a master for it. I work for worldwide company. I work direct with my boss and he makes 320k per year (executive director)
