How quickly did you learn how to program & did you have experience beforehand?

I'm currently attending Lambda's school for programming and I wanted to have a focus on Android Development, my father is a Software Engineer/Full Stack Web Developer & technology comes very natural to me although I have no prior experience, just curious about how difficult you would say it is.

Getting that initial understanding of how code works is IMO the hardest part. But once you get the fundamental understanding of how shit works, you'll be fine.

Beyond that initial stage of trying to understand code and how it works, you will likely spend most your time reading documentation and learning new frameworks and such. But that's easy, relative to learning about common programming concepts.

Search it, try it, and fail. Over and over again, do that. Also, while learning or doing this, you enjoy it.Android development piece of cake if you don't build complex app like uber.
