One of the most life changing approaches many people seem to forget

    Hey,

Everyone says that they want to live healthy. They usually hear "go eat healthy, work out, read books". While this is all true, something people seem to overlook is their sleep. You know that rare feeling that happens once every five fortnights, where you wake up before your alarm even goes off and you feel ready to take on the world? What if you could have that every morning, wouldnt that be great?

Everyone has different sleep needs. My problem was that I slept too much (yep, i always slept 9+ hrs, and was always tired throughout the day, not understanding why). People need around 7-9 hours of sleep. Try to find your sweet spot. You can google to find out how your sleep cycles work, usually it is recommended to wake up 7,5 hours after you fell asleep so you dont wake up during your deep sleep. Go to bed at the same time every day. This will take weeks, maybe months, before you start seeing results, but let me tell you its worth it.

I now fall asleep in a few minutes, where before I usually had to lie down for a solid hour before falling asleep. Ive been able to lucid dream and even astral project, all because my body knows exactly when to sleep in and when to wake up.

So yh, dont forget about ur sleep rhytm for everyone that wants to improve their life!
    Regards,
    Adolfietje

So true. I've seen many people who work nightshift and sleep like ~4 hours a night look like they have premature aging in their 20's. Sleep is essential to health.

I have also heard that when you don't sleep at all for the night and go to bed next day, it can work like an antidepressant.

Thank you for the information. My sleep schedule is really bad. I know about sleeping cycles etc. and am now using meditation apps to get me to sleep quicker. I sleep usually like 4 hours if I have to wake up for work the next day, making me really tired.

Sleep seems to be something that everybody knows about but doesn't do anything about. Im one of them.
Im sure the benefits would be amazing but I've never once managed to hold a schedule for a longer period of time. Maybe it's time to try again.
