How is this any different than chargeback fraud that's existed since 2000s.
When Blizzard, or any of these companies selling digital products caught on to this practice by mid 2010s they just remove the digital product from your account or ban your account outright and this method "died". Or are you describing something different?

Oh no buddy, refundscamming or chargeback fraud has never died. It's still doable.

Also, so far, my 2nd account is not banned/removed from battle.net after refund. I got my refund of from my first acc and my 2nd acc 59.99, so it's a free game.
